Michelle Obama's Personal Staff (Paid by us taxpayers)

The president makes $400,000, and there is a big gap between that and the highest paid staffer -- $172,200. 

The salaries for staffers in the Office of First Lady are also on the newest list. The highest paid is Chief of Staff Susan Sher, who gets the top $172,200. Here are the rest:

There has never been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

Note:This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom travelled aboard Air Force One to Europe.

Why do they want to destroy the BEST Health Care in the world? Why do people come from all over the world to be treated here in the USA? Because dumb asses... it's the best already! YES it has problems however, let's fix the problems (which would be much cheaper) and not destroy the entire Health Care industry.

There is a better way ... let's find it!

Congressman Rangel WHERE ARE YOUR BACK TAXES?

Congressman Rangel's back taxes bill were due on May 15th? On September 24, 2008, the House Ethics Committee announced an investigation into Rangel's alleged failure to report thousands of dollars in rental income or pay taxes on his beachfront villa in the posh resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, allegedly living in multiple rent-subsidized apartments in New York City while claiming his Washington, D.C. home as his primary residence for tax purposes, alleged use of congressional stationery to solicit donors for a public policy institute in his name at City College, and other alleged questionable activities.

5 things WE can do?

First of all we can give a damn! Second, we can educate ourselves. Third, we can question everything we are told on the news and research the facts for ourselves to find out the real story. Fourth, we can  be there for our family, friends and neighbors. (Remember neighbors? The folks we used to know very well who lived right next door to us or on our street? The ones we knew by first and last names?) Fifth, Get to know who your neighbors are. 

Giving a little THANKS ...

Some serve in the armed services to protect us here at home. (THANK YOU) Some are doctors, police and fire fighters who provide protection and life saving services. (THANK YOU) Some teach our children and some even make a difference in their lives. (THANK YOU) It is the responsibility of every American to contribute something to this country. Something of their choosing, something that will make a difference ... 

That's all I have to say today ... I want to express my THANKS to all of those who help to make our lives a safer and better place to live. Not because they have to ... but because they WANT TO.

Has anyone else been following the exploits of the organization known as ACORN? (Which incidentally is changing or has changed it's name recently)

Tony Soprano would be proud of these guys who have perfected the shell game, established a network of subsidiaries that all get our tax money from Uncle Sugar as grants, etc. Millions of dollars was embezzled by an high ranking insider that was never pursued or prosecuted.

It's a dramatic story of crime, corruption, collusion and bullying under the cover of community organization courtesy of our friends at ACORN. Yesterday's headline reads

Obama reminds me of Seinfeld ... (Sorry Jerry)

I listened to Obama's Health Care Plan cheer leading session last night and after an hour of rhetoric and lack of any real specific information, I was left scratching my head and wondering ... What the hell did he just say?"

It reminded me of the Seinfeld Show ... you know ... the show about nothing?



When will this man give some specific plans and details about this wonderful plan (that incidentally NO capital hill movers or shakers are willing to sign up for) to save us all from ourselves? According to him, this plan will pay for itself over time....yea right if you believe that I have some swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you.

Please ... can we try and fix what is wrong with the BEST Health care in the world instead of scraping the whole thing and starting from scratch?

Jul. 15, 2009 (AP Online delivered by Newstex) -- Details on the health care overhaul bill introduced Tuesday by Democrats in the House:

WHO'S COVERED: Around 94 percent of non-elderly residents (those not covered by Medicare, which kicks in at age 65) would be covered -- compared with 81 percent today. Nearly half of the 17 million non-elderly residents who remain uninsured would be illegal immigrants.

COST: About $1.5 trillion over 10 years.

HOW IT'S PAID FOR: Revenue-raisers include: $544 billion from a new income tax surcharge on single people making $280,000 a year and households making $350,000 and above; $37 billion in other tax adjustments. About $500 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. About $200 billion from penalties paid by individuals and employers who don't obtain coverage.

REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS: Individuals must have insurance, enforced through tax penalty with hardship waivers. The penalty is 2.5 percent of income.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYERS: Employers must provide insurance to their employees or pay a penalty of 8 percent of payroll. Companies with payroll under $250,000 annually are exempt.

SUBSIDIES: Individuals and families with annual income up to 400 percent of poverty level ($88,000 for a family of four) would get sliding-scale subsidies to help them buy coverage. The subsidies would begin in 2013.

HOW YOU CHOOSE YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE: Through a new Health Insurance Exchange open to individuals and, initially, small employers; it could be expanded to large employers over time. States could opt to operate their own exchanges in place of the national exchange if they follow federal rules.

BENEFIT PACKAGE: A committee would recommend an "essential benefits package" including preventive services, mental health services, oral heath and vision for children; out-of pocket costs would be capped. The new benefit package would be the basic benefit package offered in the exchange and over time would become the minimum quality standard for employer plans. Insurers wouldn't be able to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions.

GOVERNMENT-RUN PLAN: A new public plan available through the insurance exchanges would be set up and run by the secretary of Health and Human Services. On average it would pay Medicare rates plus 5 percent to doctors.

CHANGES TO MEDICAID: The federal-state insurance program for the poor would be expanded starting in 2013 to cover all non-elderly individuals with incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level ($14,404).

... Why are you racing to pass your Health Care Bill before the recess. Are you afraid that congressman and senators will have to answer to their constituents?

What did the EMERGENCY RUSH to pass the stimulus get us? Slow down DUDE. You promised transparency ... the only thing transparent is your push to Socialism.

Some of us are not blind or mute to what is going on in your administration.

40th Anniversary of the 1st Man On The Moon...

Today's 40th Anniversary of man landing on the moon reminded me of what we Americans are capable of when we put our collective minds to it. Some of you may be too young to have witnessed it the first time around but Americans could talk of nothing else during those "space race" times.

We were once a Great Nation, because we all believed in something greater than ourselves. We were United. We were not defined as Democrat or Republican ... WE WERE AMERICANS. We need to restore our faith in each other and restore us back to the nation our founding father left in our care ... we have been negligent in our duties as caretakers of the Constitution.

It is not too late! We need to elect people that represent that spirit. People who say what they mean and mean what they say. Someone who represents "we the people" not "It's all about me".

If the Health Care Plan is SO GREAT why won't you use it ?

Did you know that the governments new health care plan is so great, that not one of them will give up their current plan and participate in this new plan that they are racing to pass ... WHY IS THAT if it's such a wonderful plan? Let them know this is bullshit!!

Did you know that while the Magicians in Washington were to distract us with the Supreme Court Nominee hearings. They RAMMED through more spending legislation? Do they think we are completely ignorant? 

THEY WORK FOR US and can be replaced ... SOON! They are not doing what "We The People" are asking them to do. Our representatives are ignoring the tons of calls we are making to them and the people who do answer (not our reps) are rude with a condescending attitude.  They will also be out of work SOON!
